What a sweet wedding! This was a favorite project of mine, from the rustic burlap, lace and mason jars to the contemporary silver trees and vases, I loved every detail. I worked with the bride to bring her vision of a "sweet, southern" backyard wedding with personal touches and a mix of casual and contemporary to life. We went with a color scheme of silver, chartruese, tan and white. I designed all of the florals to have a casual, just picked from the garden feel. They were very budget friendly and helped in making the feeling of the event come to life. We served a specialty drink, "The Real McCoy" during a short cocktail hour before the ceremony. (The newlyweds last name is "McCoy") ;)
Dinner was served under a wooden arbor draped with vintage lace panels. The buffet was draped in burlap for a casual feel, and food was served in silver and wood pieces for a mix of the elegant and casual. I created a sweets bar out of a vintage cabinet. Southern pies were served as well as three unique mini cakes and red velvet cupcakes. For the drink station I used another vintage painted piece and we served drinks out of diy embellished mason jars. What southern wedding would be complete without lemonade and sweet tea?
Derick and Lauren are a beautiful couple, inside and out. I had a wonderful time collaborating with Lauren and her mother-in-law Carla on this special day. I wish the happy couple a lifetime of happiness!
So Beautiful! Wish I would have had you plan my wedding.
